Common Questions

Wedding DJ FAQs

What areas of the Treasure Valley do you serve for weddings? +

SwissMixx Audio is based in Meridian, Idaho and serves the full Treasure Valley including Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, Eagle, Star, and Kuna. Travel within the Treasure Valley is included in every wedding package, so there are no surprise add-on fees for venues across the region.

Do you provide ceremony audio as well as reception DJ service? +

Yes. SwissMixx Audio handles the full audio picture, from processional music and wireless mics for the officiant and readers, all the way through cocktail hour, dinner, and the reception. Ceremony sound is included in the Ceremony and Reception and Full Day packages, and can be added to any booking.

Can we submit a custom playlist and do-not-play list? +

Absolutely. Every wedding at SwissMixx Audio starts with a detailed planning consultation where you share your must-play songs, genre preferences, and anything you don't want played. Mark builds a custom setlist from that conversation and shares it with you for review before the event.

What happens if something goes wrong with the equipment on the day? +

Backup equipment is brought to every wedding. If a speaker, mixer, or wireless mic fails mid-event, there is a spare ready to deploy immediately. Fifteen-plus years of experience across Treasure Valley venues means Mark has encountered nearly every scenario and knows how to keep the event moving without your guests noticing a thing.

How long does setup take before the event? +

Typical setup takes one to two hours depending on the venue and whether ceremony audio is included. Mark coordinates directly with your venue coordinator to arrive during load-in windows and completes sound checks before guests arrive. Setup and breakdown time is included in every package, so it is never billed as extra time.

Do you travel to destination weddings outside Treasure Valley? +

Yes, destination bookings outside the Treasure Valley are available on a case-by-case basis, including venues beyond the Boise and Nampa area. Travel fees apply for events outside the standard service area. Reach out with your venue location and date and Mark will provide a custom quote.

How far in advance should we book a wedding DJ? +

Summer and fall are the busiest wedding seasons in Idaho, and popular Treasure Valley dates can book six to twelve months in advance. Reaching out as soon as you have your venue and date secured is the safest approach. Spring and winter dates often have more flexibility, but early booking is always recommended to guarantee availability.
