SwissMixx in Meridian
Meridian is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, and every week somebody there is planning a wedding, a company party, or a neighborhood event. I'm Mark, and my shop in Nampa is about 15 minutes from The Village. I DJ weddings at Meridian barn venues and event centers, run corporate parties for the businesses along Eagle Road, and rent out gear with every rate published. You will not find a closer pro shop with touring-grade equipment and a straight price list.

Room by room
Curfews, power and what each room does to sound. Confirm any policy with the venue before you build a timeline on it, because venues change their rules and a wrong curfew costs you the last dance.
This is the one that catches people. Indoor music runs to midnight but outdoor music has to be off at 9:00 PM. If your plan is cocktails on the patio and dancing inside, that works beautifully. If your plan is dancing outside, it does not, and you want to know that in March and not in July.
Midnight cutoff. They provide a podium and a stage, which means the ceremony audio question is mostly solved and you are really only paying for reception coverage.
There is a large permanent stage on the great lawn, which sounds like it solves everything, and then you find out the venue supplies no canopies, no tables and no chairs. Whatever covers the mix position comes in on my truck. Up to 1,200 standing on that lawn, so this is a real production, not a backyard.
Small room, about 70, indoors only, and music can run to 2:00 AM. They give you a projection screen but no audio.
A 1907 Victorian with a wraparound porch. It is several small hard rooms rather than one hall, so the right answer here is distributed speakers at low level, not one big stack in a corner blasting through a doorway.
Good room, up to about 250. CONFIRM their current sound policy with them directly, they do not publish one.
Opened in 2024. Newer than most of the venue lists out there.
Doing it yourself?
Plenty of couples here run their own sound, and for a ceremony and a modest reception that is a reasonable call. I rent the kit, size it to the room, and tell you where to put it. Speaker and wireless mic from $249 Friday to Monday, free pickup in Nampa, delivery across the valley.
Meridian is fifteen minutes from my shop. No travel fee.
A Meridian reception in a hotel ballroom with 100 guests does not need a line array. It needs two good speakers placed properly and somebody who knows when to turn them down. That is what most of these dates are.

Common Questions
My shop is in Nampa, about 15 minutes down the road, and I work in Meridian constantly. Travel to Meridian is included in every package, and rental pickup in Nampa is a short drive if you want to skip delivery fees.
Weddings at barn and event-center venues, corporate parties, school dances and theater productions, silent disco, and gear rentals. Wedding packages run $2,500 to $5,750, DIY kits from $249, silent disco from $850. All published.
Yes, and I do several every summer. The trick in a subdivision is clean coverage without blasting the neighbors, which is an aiming and placement problem I solve before the event. Battery-powered ceremony rigs mean no cords across your lawn.
