- NAMPA, IDAHO
Owner-operated, touring-grade gear, and every price published. The person you call is the person who shows up.
SwissMixx in Nampa
Nampa is home. My shop, my gear, and my trailer all live here, which makes me the closest pro audio company to every venue in town and the cheapest to get gear from, because rental pickup at the shop is free. Weddings at the Civic Center and the barn venues out toward Lake Lowell, corporate parties, school theater, quinceaneras, backyard receptions, and the Ford Idaho Center events that need extra sound. I have run stadium shows and city festivals, and I still answer my own phone.

Room by room
Curfews, power and what each room does to sound. Confirm any policy with the venue before you build a timeline on it, because venues change their rules and a wrong curfew costs you the last dance.
Worth reading carefully: amplified music is indoors only, it ends at midnight, and the sound and dance floor are managed by venue staff. The house controls the PA. That is a very different job than a barn, and it is usually a cheaper one for you.
Music ends at 11:00 PM. Beer and wine only. Up to a thousand people outdoors, which is a real coverage problem and the reason I own a line array instead of a pair of tops on sticks.
Fourteen-foot ceilings and large glass garage doors onto the lakeside lawn. When those doors are up, sound goes both directions, and the neighbors across the water hear your reception. Great room, just needs the subs placed with that in mind.
Rental includes a projector, surround sound and dimmable lighting. Do not pay me for gear you are already renting from them.
Their house audio is one large Bluetooth speaker with a wireless mic. That is fine for a ceremony of forty. It is not a reception system for two hundred, and there is a second outdoor zone at the silo bar to cover.
Reception is under a 40x80 pole tent, April through October. No walls. Wind is a real factor on stands out there.
Separate chapel and barn on a pond. That is two locations, which means either two systems or a fast strike between them. Priced honestly, it is closer to the ceremony and reception package than the reception-only one.
Music ends at 10:00 PM.
11am to 11pm, extra hours by request.
Doing it yourself?
Plenty of couples here run their own sound, and for a ceremony and a modest reception that is a reasonable call. I rent the kit, size it to the room, and tell you where to put it. Speaker and wireless mic from $249 Friday to Monday, free pickup in Nampa, delivery across the valley.
This is home. My gear lives in Nampa, which means on a Nampa date I am ten minutes from a spare of everything.
If you are getting married at the Civic Center and they run the PA, you may not need a full package. Call me and I will tell you what you actually need, even when the answer is less.

Common Questions
Yes. My shop is in Nampa, so picking up your rental costs nothing. I test everything with you at pickup and walk you through the hookup, it takes five minutes. Delivery anywhere in the Treasure Valley is $250 each way if you would rather not haul, and it is included once a rental passes $2,000. Rentals under $400 are pickup only.
The published prices: Reception Only $2,500, Ceremony and Reception $3,400, Full Day $5,750. DIY kits from $249 for the weekend. No travel fee anywhere in Nampa, obviously.
Yes, both. School theater wireless runs $245 per channel for the run of the show with the educational discount, and I do church system tuning, volunteer training, and Sunday support. I live here, so I want the local gigs.
