Speaker rental questions

How much is it to rent speakers?

In Nampa and Boise, a powered 12 inch speaker runs $40 to $135 a day at SwissMixx: a Mackie Thump212 is $40, an EV ZLX-12P is $55, a battery powered EV Everse 8 is $108, and a 1,000 watt QSC KW122 is $135. Stands are $15 to $36. Weekend rates run about 1.8 times the day rate, Friday pickup to Monday return.

How much does a full sound system rental cost?

A self run PA package with two speakers, a mixer, and a wireless mic starts at $249 for a single day or $399 for a Friday to Monday weekend. Column array systems and line arrays scale up from there, and every rate is published on the rental rates page.

Is it cheaper to rent or buy a sound system?

For one or two events a year, renting wins. A speaker you would buy for $700 rents for $40 to $55 a day, so you could rent for a decade of parties before matching the purchase price, with no storage, no blown drivers, and current gear every time. If you run events monthly, buying starts to make sense, and I will tell you so.

What is the best speaker brand to rent?

For most parties, any current powered speaker from Mackie, Electro-Voice, QSC, or RCF will sound great. Spend less on the brand and more on placement: two speakers on stands at ear height beat one expensive box on the floor. If you tell me your guest count and venue I will point you at the cheapest box that actually covers it.

Do you deliver rental speakers?

Pickup in Nampa is free and takes about ten minutes with a quick walkthrough. Delivery is $250 each way within the Treasure Valley, included on rentals over $2,000. Rentals under $400 are pickup only, which keeps the small rentals cheap.

Not sure what you need? Tell me the guest count and the venue and I will point you at the cheapest setup that actually covers it. That is the whole trick.
