Do you require an ongoing service contract?

No. SwissMixx Audio does not require an ongoing service contract. Many engagements begin with a single assessment or a discovery call and grow from there based on what the congregation actually needs. The relationship is shaped by what works for your church, not by a contract structure.

How long does a church sound system assessment take?

A typical on-site assessment takes two to four hours depending on the size and complexity of the system. This includes an RF frequency scan, acoustic walkthrough, system measurement, and a review of current operational workflows. After the visit, Mark provides a written report with prioritized recommendations.

Can you train our volunteer sound team?

Yes. Volunteer team training is one of the most impactful things SwissMixx Audio does for churches. Training is conducted in your space, on your equipment, using your actual Sunday service workflow as the teaching context. Topics include gain structure, mixing, mic technique, monitoring, and how to respond when something goes wrong mid-service.

What I Know About Caldwell Venues

Curfews, power and what each room does to sound. Confirm any policy with the venue before you build a timeline on it, because venues change their rules and a wrong curfew costs you the last dance.

Indian Creek Plaza

Read this before you book entertainment there. The plaza has 110V power and only at select locations. The distributed system in the plaza is for background music, so a private entertainer brings their own PA. Caldwell's noise ordinance wants quiet after 11 PM on weekdays and 1 AM Friday and Saturday. Tents need 20 pounds of ballast per canopy leg. That is a lot of constraints for one downtown block and it is exactly the sort of thing that goes wrong when nobody read the rental packet.

Ste. Chapelle Winery

Music ends at 11:00 PM. The indoor room caps at 100 while the outdoor space handles 500 for a ceremony and up to 1,000 for a reception, so almost every Ste. Chapelle wedding is really an outdoor sound job with an indoor rain plan that does not fit everybody.

The Center at Canyon County Fair

Six roll-up doors that take semi-trailers and an engineered concrete floor. Easiest load-in in the valley. Also a bare concrete box, so it needs real coverage design rather than volume.

Caldwell Events Center, Charolais Barn

An open-sided shelter, 201 by 150, with 36 110V plugs and 16 20-amp services. That is the entire power budget for your event. If somebody quotes you a big rig in there without asking about power, they have not been.

Wild Rose Manor

Two separate open-sided covered structures, a 31-foot gazebo with a built-in dance floor and a 24x60 crescent shelter with a second one. Two dance floors is two zones.

Sand Hollow

The reception building is climate controlled but the dance floor is open-air.

The Venue at Wood Farms

They include audiovisual equipment, so coordinate before you hire.

Sunnyslope note

Most of the wine trail carries a Caldwell address even though it sits in the hills. Fox Canyon in Marsing is fully open-air on top of a 200-foot cliff over the Snake River, and wind on that hilltop is the single biggest sound problem in the district.

Worth the drive

West Canyon County: Wilder and Marsing

Twenty minutes west of Caldwell, and both are open-air sites where the weather and the power are the whole job.

Garman Hill, Wilder

Eleven acres of open lawn with the Owyhee Mountains behind it. Open-air, umbrellas or a tent, and no building at all. Everything comes in, including power, and the wind gets a vote on speaker placement.

Fox Canyon Vineyards, Marsing

Fifty to three hundred, entirely open-air on a hilltop above a 200-foot cliff over the Snake River valley. Spectacular, exposed, and no wind shelter anywhere. This is a site where a tall speaker on a stick is a bad idea and I will tell you why on the walk.
