SwissMixx in Middleton
Middleton is ten minutes from my shop, which makes it about the easiest place in the valley for me to serve. Barn weddings, community events, school functions, and backyard parties, all with the same published prices and touring-grade gear I bring to stadium shows. If you are comparing quotes from Boise companies, check their travel fees. Mine is zero, because I am basically your neighbor.

Room by room
Curfews, power and what each room does to sound. Confirm any policy with the venue before you build a timeline on it, because venues change their rules and a wrong curfew costs you the last dance.
Twelve-hour rental from 10 AM to 10 PM with six hours of event time, and the venue closes at 10. The reception happens on a 900 square foot raised deck under a pergola, which is a small, hard, reflective surface, and it holds 125. This is a room where too much system is worse than too little.
A hilltop with no fixed reception structure. You pick where the ceremony and reception go anywhere on the grounds and you bring every vendor. Power and cover are entirely on you. This is the venue where I ask about generators on the first call, because the answer changes the whole quote. I rent a Jackery Explorer 5000 Plus for silent off-grid power, $150 overnight or $270 for the weekend, and on a Montebello wedding that is usually the right call.
Garden and barn-ranch in the hills, up to 150. CONFIRM their sound policy.
Fifty guests maximum, house audio is two Bluetooth speakers, and the only cover is a 12x12 canopy plus a gazebo. May through October. At fifty people in that space, you do not need a DJ package. You need one good speaker and a wireless mic, and I will rent you that for the weekend for $249.
Doing it yourself?
Plenty of couples here run their own sound, and for a ceremony and a modest reception that is a reasonable call. I rent the kit, size it to the room, and tell you where to put it. Speaker and wireless mic from $249 Friday to Monday, free pickup in Nampa, delivery across the valley.
Middleton is where I most often tell people to spend less. Two of these four venues are small enough that a rental kit does the job. Ask me and I will give you the honest number.

Common Questions
No. You are ten minutes from my shop in Nampa. Travel is included, and rental pickup at the shop is free if you want the lowest possible price.
Everything from full DJ service (published packages $2,500 to $5,750) down to DIY kits from $249 where you run your own sound. Barn venues are a specialty, I know how to make a metal building sound like a venue.
Yes, happily. School dances, fundraisers, city celebrations, and church events. Theater wireless runs $245 per channel for the run of the show for schools. Small local events are how I started and I still take them.
