What I Know About Idaho City Venues

Nothing here is a traditional event venue, and that is worth saying plainly rather than dressing it up. The one thing on the calendar every year is Idaho City Days. Everything else is a historic building, private property, or somewhere on Main Street, and each one is its own conversation.

Idaho City Days

First weekend of October, vendor booths and live music strung along Main Street in the historic district. This is street-festival sound: real distance to cover, no walls to help you, and a crowd that moves through all day. It is exactly the kind of outdoor coverage I like building.

A Private Event In Town

I have not found a dedicated indoor venue inside Idaho City yet, and I am not going to pretend one exists. Most private gatherings here happen in a historic building, on private property, or somewhere without a name I can list.
