SwissMixx in Idaho City
Idaho City is a gold-rush town from the 1860s, population under 500 today, tucked in the mountains about an hour up ID-21 from Nampa through Boise. I'm Mark, and this is one of the drives I don't mind, it runs the Ponderosa Pine Scenic Byway the whole way. Most of what happens here is outdoors and on Main Street rather than inside a ballroom, and that changes how a system gets built. Every price is published, travel to Idaho City included.

Room by room
Nothing here is a traditional event venue, and that is worth saying plainly rather than dressing it up. The one thing on the calendar every year is Idaho City Days. Everything else is a historic building, private property, or somewhere on Main Street, and each one is its own conversation.
First weekend of October, vendor booths and live music strung along Main Street in the historic district. This is street-festival sound: real distance to cover, no walls to help you, and a crowd that moves through all day. It is exactly the kind of outdoor coverage I like building.
I have not found a dedicated indoor venue inside Idaho City yet, and I am not going to pretend one exists. Most private gatherings here happen in a historic building, on private property, or somewhere without a name I can list. Tell me the address and I will tell you exactly what it needs and what it costs, same as anywhere else on this site.
Doing it yourself?
A historic building without modern power, or an afternoon on Main Street, is exactly where DIY goes wrong if nobody plans for it ahead of time. I rent the kit, size it to the space, and tell you what you need for power if the site is not straightforward. Speaker and wireless mic from $249 Friday to Monday, and a Jackery Explorer 5000 Plus at $150 overnight or $270 for the weekend if there is no service on site.
Idaho City is fifty-nine miles up ID-21 from Nampa, about an hour and fifteen minutes with the drive through Boise. That is a travel date and I quote it as one, on the estimate, before you commit. I would rather you see the number early than be surprised by it.

Common Questions
Both happen here. Idaho City Days runs outdoors on Main Street every October, and that is a street-festival build: real distance, no walls, and a crowd that moves. Private events tend to land in a historic building or on private property, and I have not found a dedicated indoor venue in town yet. Tell me your address and I will tell you exactly what it needs.
Published: Reception Only $2,500, Ceremony and Reception $3,400, Full Day $5,750, DIY kits from $249 for the weekend. Idaho City is about an hour fifteen from Nampa, so travel is quoted up front on the estimate rather than buried.
Yes. Street festivals, parades, and community celebrations are a specialty here, not an add-on, and I bring insurance and a W-9 ready to go.
