No. SwissMixx Audio does not require an ongoing service contract. Many engagements begin with a single assessment or a discovery call and grow from there based on what the congregation actually needs. The relationship is shaped by what works for your church, not by a contract structure.

How long does a church sound system assessment take?

A typical on-site assessment takes two to four hours depending on the size and complexity of the system. This includes an RF frequency scan, acoustic walkthrough, system measurement, and a review of current operational workflows. After the visit, Mark provides a written report with prioritized recommendations.

Can you train our volunteer sound team?

Yes. Volunteer team training is one of the most impactful things SwissMixx Audio does for churches. Training is conducted in your space, on your equipment, using your actual Sunday service workflow as the teaching context. Topics include gain structure, mixing, mic technique, monitoring, and how to respond when something goes wrong mid-service.

The rule that decides everything

Ketchum Has Enforced Decibel Limits

Ketchum publishes enforced decibel limits for special events. In residential zones that is 90 dBA until 7 PM, then 55 dBA from 7 to 10 PM, then 50 dBA after 10. Commercial and industrial zones get 90 dBA in the day, 65 to 75 in the evening, 60 to 70 after 10.

Any event with amplified sound has to notify every business and property owner within 250 feet, and music on city property carries a $10 license fee unless you show proof of licensing.

A 55 dBA cap after 7 PM in a residential zone is, in practical terms, a rule against an amplified reception. That is not a scare tactic, it is in the city's published special event guidelines, and it is the single most important fact about running sound in Ketchum.

If your venue is residential and your reception is at 8 PM, we are having a silent disco conversation, and I am glad to have it. Silent disco starts at $850 for up to 100 headsets on one channel, with all three channels free at 300. You can rent it on its own, or add it to a reception package and hand the headsets out when the ordinance bites. That second version is usually the right one up here: a normal reception while the limit is 90 dBA, then headsets after 7 PM instead of an early night.

Sun Valley Resort Venues, and What Each Does to a Load-In

The Roundhouse

Capacity 175, and only bookable when the Roundhouse Express gondola is running. Every case goes up and comes down on the gondola, on the resort's operating schedule. That is the whole load-in plan, and it decides how much rig is realistic.

Sun Valley Club

Capacity 250, October through May only, and private events cannot start until after 6 PM. There is no daytime load-in into an empty room, so setup happens around you.

Dollar Lodge

Capacity 90, year round, but during ski season events cannot begin until after 7 PM. Load-in waits for the hill to clear.

Trail Creek Pavilion

Capacity 250. It is a tent, Memorial Day to the second weekend of October. Tent acoustics and tent power are both their own conversation.

Trail Creek Grounds

Capacity 1,500, Sunday through Friday only in peak summer. Saturdays are not available, which surprises people planning a summer wedding.

Trail Creek Cabin

Capacity 66, small and seasonal. An intimate room, and one where an oversized system is the wrong answer.

Limelight Ballroom

Capacity 550, the largest room in the valley and available year round.

River Run Lodge

Capacity 350, the year-round base-area option.

Sun Valley is the market where the constraints matter more than the gear list. Any DJ can tell you they have great speakers. Ask them what the Ketchum evening dBA limit is and whether the gondola is running on your date.

How does your pricing compare to resort AV in Sun Valley?

My package prices are published and they do not change because the venue is fancy: corporate from $2,850, weddings from $2,500. You pay a travel charge we agree on in writing, and that is usually a fraction of the difference. Ask your venue if outside AV is allowed, most permit it.

Do you handle both the meeting and the party for corporate retreats?

Yes, that is the point of hiring one company. Daytime AV, wireless mics, and screens for the sessions, then DJ, silent disco, or live band sound for the evening. One quote, one point of contact, and a crew of owner-operators when the event needs more hands.

Can you do a Ketchum or Elkhorn wedding on short notice?

Sometimes. Summer weekends book out, but shoulder-season dates often have room. Call me with the date and I will give you a straight yes or no the same day.
