Wedding DJ and Sound at The Cottage at Riverbend

A tent on concrete, no walls, and no indoor backup.

Venue type

The reception here happens under a 30 by 40 pavilion tent on concrete. No walls, and no indoor backup. That last part is the one to sit with, because it means the weather plan is the whole plan.

A tent on concrete is an honest acoustic space: hard floor, soft ceiling, open sides. Sound stays live underfoot and escapes upward, so speech intelligibility depends almost entirely on getting the boxes at the right height and aimed at people rather than at the tent.

The weekend rental runs 4 PM Friday to 2 PM Sunday, which is a genuinely long window. Setup can happen Friday evening without pressure, and that is worth real money in stress alone.

Up to 400 guests, outdoor only, on the riverfront.

DIY kits from $249 a weekend

No indoor backup is the DIY risk here. Rental gear does not love rain, and there is nowhere to retreat to. If you are running your own, the tent has to be the plan A and the plan B. Speaker and wireless mic from $249 Friday to Monday, free pickup in Nampa.
