Music at the Depot ends at 10:00 PM. Not 10:15, not one more song. Everything about your evening should be built backward from that number, because the couples who do not plan for it lose the last dance to a hard stop instead of finishing on the song they wanted.

Work backward and it goes something like this: last dance at 9:50, bouquet and garter done by 9:30, dances and toasts wrapped by 8:45. That gives you a real ending rather than a cut-off one. I will build that timeline with you before you book anything, and I will tell you if what you want does not fit.

The building includes a house system. Ask them exactly what it covers before you count on it, because in a room like this a house rig is usually built for announcements and a ceremony mic rather than a dance floor. I bring my own either way.

It is a 1925 depot with the hard surfaces you would expect. 165 inside, up to 300 outdoors, and the indoor and outdoor spaces behave completely differently.

DIY kits from $249 a weekend

If you are running it yourself, the 10 PM stop actually makes DIY easier, not harder. A single good speaker and a wireless mic covers a Depot ceremony and a modest reception, and the short evening means you are not asking a small system to hold a dance floor for four hours. Speaker and wireless mic from $249 Friday to Monday, free pickup in Nampa.
