Wireless battery-powered sound setup for an outdoor ribbon cutting and groundbreaking ceremony by SwissMixx Audio in the Treasure Valley Idaho

- TREASURE VALLEY, IDAHO

RIBBON CUTTING & GRAND OPENING SOUND

Wireless, battery-powered PA and a mic for whoever is speaking. No power outlet needed, 15-minute setup, and every price published, from a $148 DIY kit to a full on-site crew.

Sound for the Moment the Scissors Come Out

A ribbon cutting or grand opening usually needs one thing done right: whoever is speaking can be heard clearly, without a generator running, a cord across the sidewalk, or a fumbled mic handoff. I bring a battery-powered speaker and a wireless microphone, set up in about 15 minutes wherever the ceremony is happening, sidewalk, parking lot, or just inside your front doors, and I can play music before and after so the moment does not feel dead air on either side of the cut. You can pick up a self-run kit for $148, have me deliver and set it up for your team to run for $795, or have me show up and run it myself for $1,500 flat. Every price is published below, no quote call required.

Built to Run Anywhere You Can Stand

Most ribbon cuttings and storefront grand openings happen where there is no easy outlet, a sidewalk, a parking lot, a new building with the power not fully turned on yet. Everything below is designed to solve that.

Battery-Powered PA

An EV Everse 8 battery speaker with a built-in mixer runs a full day on one charge, loud enough for a crowd on a sidewalk or in a parking lot, and completely silent while it works, no generator hum competing with the speeches.

Wireless Mic for Remarks

A wireless handheld goes to the mayor, chamber director, or business owner cutting the ribbon, with a backup mic staged and ready. No cable to trip on, no passing a single mic hand to hand between speakers.

Music Before + After

The same speaker streams Bluetooth music while guests gather and after the ceremony wraps, so the moment has energy on both sides of the cut instead of standing around in silence.

Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening Packages

Four ways to book, depending on how much you want handled for you. All four use the same battery-powered, wireless approach, and every number is the real published price.

Three Steps to a Clean Ribbon Cutting

01

Call or Text the Details

Date, time, location, and who is speaking. I send a flat written quote back the same day, plus a W-9 and certificate of insurance if a city or chamber needs one.

02

I Set Up On Site

About 15 minutes before your scheduled cut time, on the sidewalk, in the lot, or just inside the doors. Wireless mic tested with each speaker before anyone steps up.

03

Cut, Speak, Celebrate

Music plays while guests gather, remarks come through clean, and the mic hands off smoothly between the mayor, the chamber director, and the owner. Then the music comes back up.

Why the Treasure Valley Calls SwissMixx

I have run sound for city celebrations, parades, and festivals across Idaho and Utah for years, so a ribbon cutting or grand opening is small by comparison, but it gets the same standard: backup gear on every job, a flat written quote before I show up, and the person you talk to on the phone is the person who runs your event.

Insured, with W-9 and certificate of insurance same day

Flat written quotes, no surprise line items

Owner-operated, backup mic and speaker on every job

Battery-powered, no generator noise or cords

Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening FAQ

Published prices, no quote form required. A DIY battery-powered speaker and wireless mic you pick up in Nampa runs $148 for a single day. If you would rather I deliver it, set it up, and pick it back up while your own team runs it during the ceremony, that is $795 flat. If you would rather I handle it myself, the On-Site Ribbon Cutting Package is $1,500 flat, equipment and operator included, up to 2 hours on site ($200/hr after), and I set up, run the mic, and tear down. Grand openings that turn into a longer celebration with music start at $2,500 for up to 100 guests.

No. The standard rig is an EV Everse 8 battery-powered speaker paired with a wireless microphone, and it runs all day on a single charge in complete silence, no cords across the sidewalk or parking lot. For a bigger grand opening with more speakers and lighting, I bring a silent Jackery battery station instead of a generator, so there is never gas fumes or engine noise near your storefront or podium.

Two to three weeks gets you any date you want. Ribbon cuttings tend to book fast in the spring and fall when most Treasure Valley chambers schedule them, and Saturday grand openings compete with wedding season on my calendar. If your date is inside the next week, call anyway. I keep gear staged and can usually still make it work.

Yes. I bring a wireless handheld for whoever is speaking, plus a backup, and can add a second wireless mic if more than one person is saying a few words. Everything is coordinated to avoid RF interference outdoors, and I test levels with each speaker before the ceremony starts so there is no feedback or dead air when the scissors come out.

Yes, same day. I work with city parks and rec departments and chamber coordinators regularly, so a W-9 and certificate of insurance are ready to send as soon as you ask, along with a flat written quote covering equipment, setup, and teardown. No surprise line items after the fact.

About 15 minutes. The battery speaker and wireless mic have a small footprint, so I can set up on a sidewalk, in a parking lot, or just inside the doors and be ready well before your scheduled cut time, with time left over to sound-check whoever is speaking.

Yes. The battery speaker streams music over Bluetooth from any phone, so I can play a curated playlist while guests arrive and after the ribbon is cut, then bring the mic back up cleanly for remarks or a giveaway announcement. For a longer grand opening celebration, I can also bring a full DJ setup instead of just background music.

Nampa, Boise, Meridian, Caldwell, Eagle, Star, Kuna, Garden City, Middleton, and Emmett, Idaho. My shop is in Nampa, so pickup there is free; delivery anywhere else in the Treasure Valley is $250 each way, or included when I am on site running the on-site package myself.
