- TREASURE VALLEY + WASATCH FRONT

FUNERAL, GRAVESIDE & CELEBRATION OF LIFE SOUND

One less thing to manage on a hard day. Clear sound for the service, wherever it's held, battery-powered so cemetery power is never an issue, and someone steady running it if your family would rather not think about equipment at all.

Sound That Doesn't Need to Be Thought About Twice

A funeral, a graveside service, an ash scattering, or a celebration of life all need the same thing done well: whoever is speaking can be heard clearly, the music comes in at the right moment, and no one in the family has to fuss with a speaker or a cord while they're grieving. I bring a battery-powered PA and a wireless microphone that work at a cemetery, a funeral home, a park, or a backyard, no outlet required anywhere. You can pick up the equipment and run it yourselves, or I can come run it quietly so your family doesn't have to think about it. For a celebration of life that includes a reception afterward, I can also bring music and a light touch of hosting, nothing that turns it into something it isn't meant to be.

My Father's Service

This is a photo from my own father's graveside service. I know exactly what that day asks of a family, and how much it matters that nobody has to think about a speaker cutting out or a cord that won't reach. I show up early, get everything tested and out of the way, and run it quietly in the background so your family can just be present. That's not a sales pitch. It's the reason I built this service the way I did.

Four Kinds of Services, One Setup That Adapts

Funeral or Memorial Service

Indoor sound at a funeral home or chapel: a wireless mic for the officiant and family members speaking, quiet background music, and a clean feed if the service is being recorded.

Graveside Service

Battery-powered PA and a wireless mic at the cemetery, no outlet needed. Sized to the group gathered at the site, not the whole grounds.

Ash Scattering Ceremony

The same battery-powered setup at a park, a trailhead, a riverbank, or wherever your family has chosen, playing a song or a few words with no power source anywhere nearby.

Celebration of Life Reception

A shift in tone after the service: curated music the person loved, a light touch of hosting, and a steady hand keeping the room comfortable, not a party atmosphere unless your family wants one.

Built to Work Wherever the Service Is Held

Cemeteries, parks, and scattering sites almost never have power nearby, and that shouldn't be one more thing to plan around.

Battery-Powered PA

A compact battery speaker with a built-in mixer runs for hours on a single charge, clear enough for a graveside group or a small chapel, and completely silent while it works.

Wireless Mic That Doesn't Cut Out

A wireless handheld or lapel mic for the officiant, a family member, or anyone speaking, with a backup on hand. No cord to manage, no passing a mic hand to hand.

Music, Cued Right

A specific song, a playlist, or a slideshow's audio track plays from any phone over Bluetooth, and I can start and stop it at the right moment so no one has to manage a phone during the service.

Options, Laid Out Plainly

Three ways to handle it, depending on what your family needs. Every number is real, so there's nothing to work out on the day itself.

Livestream Audio That's Actually Audible

A phone propped up on its own usually fails at this. The built-in microphone picks up wind, rustling, and distance instead of the person speaking, and family watching from far away end up straining to catch a few words.

I run the wireless microphone into a clean audio feed and connect it to whatever your family is already using to watch, a phone on a video call, Facebook Live, or a dedicated stream, so the people who couldn't make it can actually hear the service, not just see it.

Available as an add-on to the On-Site Service or Celebration of Life DJ package for $295, since it rides on the same wireless mic feed I'm already running. It isn't offered with the DIY kit alone.

Clear, not just present

The audio comes from the microphone the officiant is using, not a phone's built-in mic picking up wind and distance.

Works with what you already use

A video call, Facebook Live, or a dedicated stream, whatever your family is already set up to use.

Recording available too

If family further away would rather watch later, the same feed can be recorded instead of or in addition to streaming live.

Present, Not in the Way

I arrive early enough to be set up and out of the way before anyone gathers, dress appropriately for the service, and run everything quietly in the background. No branding, no logos on display, no rushing the family through a timeline that isn't mine to set. I work with the funeral director or officiant directly on cues, so the only thing your family notices about the sound is that it worked.

Funeral & Memorial Sound FAQ

In nearly every case, yes. Most cemeteries in the Treasure Valley and Wasatch Front do not restrict a small PA and a wireless microphone used at a normal speaking volume for a graveside service. I keep the sound sized to the group gathered around the site, not the whole cemetery, so it never becomes a disturbance. If a specific cemetery has its own rule, I am glad to call ahead and confirm before the day.

Just loud enough for everyone gathered to hear clearly, nothing more. The goal at a graveside service is intelligibility, not volume, so a small battery speaker positioned well does the job without projecting across the rest of the cemetery. I set levels by ear once the family is gathered, not to a fixed number.

Yes. Audio quality is the part people get wrong when they try this themselves, a phone or laptop's built-in microphone picks up wind, rustling, and distance instead of the speaker's voice. I run a wireless microphone into a clean audio feed, then connect that feed to whatever platform your family is using to watch, a phone on a video call, Facebook Live, or a dedicated streaming setup, so the people watching from home can actually hear the service. The livestream audio add-on is $295 on top of the On-Site Service or Celebration of Life DJ package.

A funeral or memorial service is usually more formal and solemn, and the sound setup matches that, a clean PA, a wireless mic for the officiant and family members speaking, and quiet background music. A celebration of life is typically more open, sometimes held somewhere other than a funeral home, and often includes music the person loved, stories told with some laughter mixed in, and occasionally a short reception afterward. The equipment can be identical, but the tone I set is different, and that is where the DJ option for the reception comes in.

Yes. The battery-powered speaker plays music from a phone over Bluetooth, so a specific song, a playlist, or the audio track from a memorial slideshow all play cleanly with no outlet needed. I can cue it to start and stop at the right moment during the service rather than leaving your family to manage a phone.

Either works. The DIY rental kit is simple enough for a family member or funeral director to run, and I walk through it with you at pickup. If your family would rather not think about a speaker or a microphone on that day, the on-site service means I set it up, run it quietly in the background, and pack it away, so nobody has to manage equipment while they are grieving.

On-Site Service and Celebration of Life DJ pricing covers travel within 50 miles of Nampa, or within a similar radius of the Clearfield hub for Wasatch Front bookings. That covers Boise, Meridian, Caldwell, and Eagle in Idaho, and Salt Lake City, Layton, Davis County, and Ogden in Utah, with no travel fee added. Beyond that radius, a flat travel fee applies, quoted up front with your written quote so there's nothing added after you book.
